In conjunction with therecently revealed Spy x Family collaboration, Uniqlo UT is launching another special partnership under the new leadership of Kosuke Kawamura. The upcoming collection brings together the work of legendary American painter and photographer Saul Leiter (1923-2013), an early pioneer of color photography.
The four-piece collection includes two white T-shirts featuring graphics taken in the 1950s that capture rainy and snowy days in New York City. The rainy day T-shirts feature the text, “We live in a colorful world. We are surrounded by color,” and another graphic T-shirt called “Footprints” has the subtext, “The streets are a ballet. You never know what’s going to happen next. The other two T-shirts are black and feature a yellow cab and an image of a busy storefront with open windows.
The Saul Leiter x UNIQLO collection will go live on July 11 on the UNIQLO website and at direct retailers worldwide. The graphic T-shirts are priced at $20.
