New York-based label Rowing Blazers previews a new collaboration with K-Swiss following its Spring/Summer 2022 collection. The resulting capsule combines the nostalgic aesthetic of the rowing blazer with the tennis heritage of K-Swiss, while also drawing on founder Jack Carlson’s personal vintage K-Swiss collection.
The collection includes apparel and footwear, with highlights including a ’90s-inspired graphic pullover trench coat and a French terry cloth crew neck sweatshirt. Elsewhere, the capsule includes a range of nylon shorts, cotton twill caps and black cotton T-shirts.
The Si-18 sneakers feature a new design with a 1990s palette and collaborative rowing blazer x K-Swiss branding. The silhouette features a range of technical elements, including an asymmetrical midsole, a D-R Cinch lacing system inspired by vintage ski boots and the silicone F18 that bears its name.
Launching the collection, Jack Carlson of Rowing Trailblazer said.
“I grew up wearing K-Swiss, and the Si-18 is an iconic tennis shoe, and there are only a handful of sneakers in the history of sneakers that really matter. So this collaboration made a lot of sense to me. I wanted to use a very wearable 90s palette and I was inspired by the tennis gear I grew up collecting, going to the Open, going to tennis camps. While rowing became my main sport, tennis has always been a passion of mine.
The complete collection is now available from the Rowing Pathfinder and K-Swiss online stores.
