The suit silhouette takes on a collegiate undertone, inspired by the British tailoring subculture that NIGO brought to the oF KENZO brand. The collection continues to draw design notes from earlier eras such as the 70s and 80s, especially for the skirt silhouette, which sees more puffiness and flamboyance, adding considerable volume to the pieces. The collection continues to celebrate the young, varsity look, paying homage to the Japanese fashion perspective of 80’s Parisian fashion.
The collection also continued to see the use of Boke floral prints, a key component of NIGO’s premiere collection with the brand.23 The Spring/Summer collection expanded its selection of elaborate workwear, combining Japanese denim with the techniques of the KENZO brand.
