Known for conquering the world of athleisure, lululemon is now expanding into the outdoors with its new Hike collection. Set to launch this summer, lululemon Hike is inspired by the brand’s core belief that the physical and mental benefits we derive from breathing translate to the natural environment.
Designed to deliver peak performance, each piece of lululemon Hike is adaptable. This may mean fast-drying or cooling textile technology to respond to rapidly changing climatic conditions on the trail. Or it might involve convertible features like zippered sleeves or hoods that will disappear when not needed. Elsewhere, ample pockets and extra cargo space keep the most important tools within reach, so you can explore with confidence.
Like the different environments the wearer will find themselves in, the lululemon Hike blends with the rustic, grounding colors of maroon, lilac, granite and sage green, while subtle neon and ripple patterns infuse the collection with personality.
Highlights include a half-zip waterproof pullover made from breathable Glyde™ fabric that is both windproof and waterproof; a convertible jogger with removable legs; a patch logo crossbody bag that performs well on commutes and weekend strolls; and a 25-liter hiking backpack that uses LiftOS™ technology to recalibrate weight distribution to reduce pressure points.
Clothing options continue to build a layering system with numerous undershirts, anoraks, T-shirts, shorts and hats, all made with abrasion-resistant and highly breathable fabrics. For women, innovative designs like hiking swim bras, bustiers and leggings keep you looking like you’re flying on the trail.
“We created Hike for anyone who wants to get outdoors and enjoy the peaceful feeling that comes from being immersed in nature and connecting with friends and community along the way,” explained Ben Stubbington, senior vice president of design and concept at Lululemon.
